Looking for a Close Shave

My ol shaver; Panasonic National, completely died on me this morning. It’s accompanied me for a good 10 years to say the least. And because of that, why would I want to replace it with any other brand. Thus, after lunch I went shaver hunting with Ariel for this particular model design.

We made visits to Sen Heng in Giant, nearby SS2 and another electronics shop in SS2 itself. All of which either didn’t have the model which I wanted, or didn’t carry Panasonic – only Philips. Phbt.

After walking out empty handed from the electronics store in SS2, I thought of buying the shaver directly online from Panasonic Malaysia since they launched their online store. However, as much as free shipping irregardless of price was a great deal, I couldn’t bear the waiting time from ordering.

Delivery normally takes 5 to 14 working days from the date when the Customer receives a notice of acceptance of the order from PM and the delivery slip need to be signed by the recipient. In the event that Product(s) ordered have not been received after 14 working days following the confirmation of order, please contact the CCC at +603-5543 7600.

If I were a buying a TV, it’d be understandable. However, if I’m going to need it in 2 days, otherwise I’d end up looking like some chiseled bum, purchasing online direct from Panasonic wasn’t an option. Sigh.

So, the other alternative was to try my luck at a different electronics store. One which would have a large variety and would carry various brands. Ariel suggested 1Utama and I took Panasonic’s word for it since their website listed Best Denki as one of the; mass merchandise outlets.

And true enough. When we went there, they had the model I wanted. But I was too itchy fingered to settle on the older design model. In the end, I made a shaver upgrade to try something different, after 10 long years.

I got this model instead.

It’s going to be a little weird shaving tomorrow. Since I’m so used to the 90 degree head. And starting tomorrow, I’m going to have to angle this 90 degrees to shave. Hmm. And oh, I bought this because apparently you can now wash the shaver!

LOL! I know I damn jakun. It’s been 10 years, okay!

But besides the shaver, I decided to not waste time driving to 1Utama and money parking there for only less than 10 minutes. So me and Ariel went to watch Toy Story 3 (not in 3D). But I’ll leave the movie review for tomorrow or another day. πŸ™‚

Do Blogger Girlfriend and Boyfriend Relationships Work?

Monday morning. Stuck in traffic. Staring at the computer screen. Recapping the Germany and England match – though I didn’t watch it. Now thinking, if aΒ  relationship between 2 bloggers could work out?

My personal relationship aside – it’s been solid, thanks for asking. I’m thinking about bloggers hooking up, dating then going steady. Can such a relationship work between the 2 bloggers?

Imagine them blogging their relationship for our entertainment. What they did together? What they ate together? Where they holidayed together? How they slept together? Well, you get the idea.

But then, imagine what happens when all hell breaks loose. It’s in any healthy relationship (to me) there’ll be some arguments or dissatisfaction. And when this happens, can the 2 bloggers keep it to themselves and not vent it out on their blog?

Because if it does get out, I think it’s going to be pouring oil on a fire. While you may be relieved to get it off the chest and tell someone (or, everyone) about your feelings, your other partner may be taking it the wrong way.

Well, hey, Internet dating works. But it garners much more responsibility and maturity. We don’t want to end up saying this later, “that f*cking bitch or bastard un-friend me in Facebook!”

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Me and Ariel finally completed watching the series; Avatar: The Last Airbender. And for your information, this Avatar isn’t blue and doesn’t procreate using his pony tail. It’s about a 100+ year old boy defrosted from the ice returning to restore balance to the world. The original is an animated cartoon series with an American anime style.

Nickelodeon screened this before and is now running a cartoon marathon for it in conjunction with the upcoming movie. I’d like to place some pretty high expectations for the movie because it’s being directed by M.Night Shyamalan.

However, after having completed watching the animated series, I’m a little worried how they’re going to squeeze the story into a 120-150 minutes flick. The animated series consisted of 3 books or 3 seasons. Telling the story of how the Avatar formed his friendships and in the end, made the world peaceful once again. Not to mention, got the love of his life.

I don’t remember any continuations of M.Night Shyamalan’s work. It’s always 1 movie and that’s it. Which is why I’m very worried.

What’s going to be missing in the movie? What’s going to be deemed unimportant and not included in it? πŸ™

I hope they don’t end up butchering the storyline too much. Otherwise, we’re going to end up with a Devastator and 2 banging balls again. LOL!

Forget 1Malaysia, I want One Love

Passion for good music is in my blood. Thanks to my Dad I suppose. I’ve never loved any specific genre and have found myself enjoying and absorbing music from metal, pop, rock to even trance. And if there was 1 method I recall used to show unity and harmony, it’s music.

Remember, We Are the World?

Or, the song from Blue; One Love featuring Asian artists. The Malaysian artists involved were Ferhad, Ella and Fauziah Latiff.

Or, if you think it’s unfair to use international acts. Then,Β here’s our very own local act; Here in My Home, by The Malaysian Artistes for Unity (MAFU).

All the publicity and exposure surrounding the phrase; 1Malaysia, is becoming lame. You can get every company to stamp the 1Malaysia brand on themselves, but does it mean they’ve embraced the 1Malaysia spirit from within?

What are or have these companies done in spirit of 1Malaysia? Especially, if you took out their business from it and left the core of their company. Then, what have had they done for their Malaysian employees?

To stand for unity by emphasizing on a phrase is okay. But if there’s no spirit or energy to pass around, then what good is only shouting it at every corner?

Where is the love.

Birds of a feather, flock together

This is a response to Ringo’s (Cheesie) post; the thing about looks, since comments have already been closed after being bombarded by stuff either party didn’t want to read. LOL!

She wrote how the world is unfair in treating people, impression wise. From the bold and the beautiful, to the fat and drop dead fugly people they end up hooking with. In addition, she threw in the baby result to emphasize on the outcome when a beautiful wife screws a fugly husband. πŸ˜›

Well, the only thing lingering on my mind now, “God is fair”. If you were meant to be a good looking husband or wife, then you’re the rare breed. I do ask myself sometimes, how did ‘that’ guy get ‘that’ girl? Was it because of money, power or natural causes. By natural causes, I don’t mean misfiring early.

But this topic can be really interesting to discuss. It’s kinda like, why did the chicken cross the road? In this case, why did the girl or guy end up with this girl or guy?

My past girlfriends were average looking. None of them were a supermodel – though, that was the dream. But now, I guess anyone can be beautiful to me. There’s always something in a person which makes them beautiful. It could be as simple as their eyes, their nose, their cheeks, their dimple, their smile, their character and more.

I guess when we stop looking for beauty, we start realizing true beauty. πŸ™‚

p.s.: Not sure how Ringo came about the thought, if a lady got a boob job then her daughter would turn out well-balanced too. But I guess, it could be one of the many wonders of a woman. πŸ˜›
