Evil intentions

While on the road today heading down to KL, I was driving behind this silver Toyota Vios on the fast lane. Out of the blue, I noticed the car drifting to the left. Judging by her leaning head to the left, it looked like she was reaching for something on the left. Well, her car maintained a straight course later. Though not for long.

Excuse my french. But the bitch started drifting to the left again. More than 3 times. I was seriously “WTF” man!!!

Her excuse

Not wanting to trust my life to her, I decided to cut her from the left and yes, she was on the fast lane! Upon passing her, I finally found out the excuse she was drifting – SMSing or fingering her mobile phone’s keypad. Fuck!!!!! Lady, if you ain’t got skills to keep your car straight while pressing the damn buttons, don’t do it-lah!

Millionaire me

If I were a millionaire, I’d bump her car backside rather than horn her. Then, when she came out of the car screaming, I’ll just hand her a cheque to fix her bumper with the message written behind:

Stop fucking using your phone while driving!

Seriously don’t get why she continued messing with her phone. I bet she even knew she was already drifting. Sigh. -.-!

Why am I having an AWESOME Friday morning!

Anyone can tell you it’s important to start your day positively. Easy as it sounds, it’s not easy – especially when you’ve had a rough week or because you probably woke up from the wrong side of bed. Why do they even have that phrase – wrong side of bed. Hmm…

I believe my morning awesomeness came because of the following order of events – don’t me okay! ๐Ÿ˜›

  1. My downloader speed was consistent.
  2. Completed my Jurian Beat Crisis albums which I’ve been looking for and finally have the chance to listen to their TWO full albums!
  3. Have some new movies to watch.
  4. Transferred the music into my USB.
  5. Told my fiance to have a good day at work – replying with a smile.
  6. Listened to Jurian Beat Crisis at a higher than normal volume in my car on my way to my first appointment.
  7. Started patting the wheel to the rhythm of the music.
  8. Started putting on a smile through my cruise.

And the rest they say is history. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Seriously. I’m still smiling as I’m writing this and just feel an awesome energy surrounding me right now.

If you’re wondering who’s this Jurian Beat Crisis, don’t worry. Share the love!

In addition, I realized music which pulls me in are ones with a raw style to it. Here’s another Malaysians would remember – OAG’s 60s TV. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would’ve also shared another indie band; Couple. But can’t seem to find any music videos to share here. Oh well, look them up – I preferred their 1st album though.

To everyone reading this, have an awesome Friday! ๐Ÿ˜€

The Doubletree by Hilton affair

Me and Ariel attended the wedding planning party organized by Doubletree Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Purpose of me visiting is to learn where I can, at the same time meet up with my friend who I thought would be there. Unfortunately, she had an emergency.

Like a wedding but not a wedding

Nonetheless, I happened to bump into my friend’s sister with her parents and even a Webcamper! Lol. So small is the world we live in. ๐Ÿ™‚

The first part of the party was kicked off with a fashion show by wedding couture designers – Carven Ong and Eric Choong.

Gown designs by Eric Choong

And emceeing the event was William who’s a radio host, from which station I do not know.

Emcee William - Can't touch this?

By the end of Carven’s show, me and Ariel were pretty hungry since we didn’t really have breakfast and not grab a light snack before heading over. I was hungers till my tummy started growling.

Never be misled by tasting portions

When the show continued, we listened to both master photographers; Jim Liaw and Zung talk about their work and what couples should be doing when wanting to engage a photographer. There was a real difference in presentation and style from the works of both photographers.

Beyond the memories is the ka-ching machine

But we’ve already found our master photographer – you’ll know soon enough.

Nearing the end of the event, I was looking out for people from Wishing Tree because I wanted to touch base with them on decoration ideas we had. At the same time, have a better idea of the budget we should be allocating. It so happened we bumped into them when I was just thinking about it – the universe is amazing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We didn’t stay until the end but congratulations to the couple who walked away with the Conrad Bangkok package. And thanks to Doubletree for inviting us.

P.S.: Only had my trusty iPhone 3GS with me and I still miss you, Steve. ๐Ÿ™

Me – Captured on video

Never before have I stepped in front of the camera. And stayed there. Normally, I’d be the person behind my ol Canon 400D snapping away. But I suppose there’s always a first for everything – go-kart for instance.

Okay. I may not have conquered my fear of heights, but I still consider this a big step for myself this year. With the support from my friends, I’d like to kickoff an initiative to talk about the gaming scene. Personally, I’m more comfortable with the First-Person Shooter (FPS) environment but again, there’s a first for everything. Thus, allow me to introduce you, Gamescoop.

I know right. “What’s with the hands?” OMGROFL! Well, I guess that’s what happens when you actually watch yourself for the first time.

And if you’re a seasoned host or a natural, please do share some pointers with me. I’d love to upgrade my presentation skills +10 Level higher. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for watching!

Garrett Popcorn finally in Malaysia

Om my gawd! It’s kam-bing. It’s kam-bing I tell ya!

If you know who took this picture, let me know.

So what the fuss about – it’s just popcorn right? Wrong. Believe me, that’s what I thought as well until I just ate 1 of it and by gosh, it’s a popcorn like no other you’ve tasted in Malaysia – nearest place which has this is Singapore. And like my friend said, once you’ve had the Garrett Popcorn, you’ll hesitate ordering cinema popcorn – ever!

It’s hard to describe the popcorn but here are some visually different facts of the Garrett caramel popcorn:

  1. It’s rounder.
  2. Caramelized all round – evenly.
  3. It’s bigger than your normal popcorn.
  4. It’s golden browned all over – well-covered with caramel.

Okay. It really sounds good. But hold your horses.

In Singapore, their Caramel Crisp sells from SGD8 for a small bag. And that bag is smaller than yourย McDonald’sย paper bag. Converted to Malaysian Ringgit, be prepared to pay about RM16-20 per small bag.

But the question on my mind now is, will local cinemas like TGV or GSC or MBG, allow us to bring this into their cinemas?

Or, will one of our local cinemas raise the bar and allow Garrett Popcorn to set up a small kiosk at their concession area for patrons who are willing to spend for this premium oh-so-nommy popcorn?

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. So watch your social media timelines when Garrett Popcorn officially opens! ๐Ÿ˜€
