Recent Gist of My Life

I’ve not been putting my mind much into writing. It’s been visualizing what I wanted to write more than penning it down. Hence, I’ll share snapshots of my recent activities.

Having dinner with t00tie
Relearning to tell my business story in 1 minute
Quenching my thirst until 12:30am
Found this representation confusing
Visited the Cosplay-Comic-Anime-Games-Exhibition in Tropicana Mall and found Danboard
Bought my new favourite bubble tea but found the quality not as good that day
Found out I got an unknown cut - not sure if it was from basketball

That pretty much was the gist of my life last week. Obviously excluding the meals and sleep – work too. And wished it didn’t rain as much in the evening because I wouldn’t get to practice my basketball much and get some much needed exercise.

Other than that, my life has been pretty casual and by June/July, I’d definitely be feeling I need an exit from Malaysia awhile. An island or Singapore getaway might be good. Or maybe, just a weekend escape to the mountains. Hmm…

PC Fair 2011

It’s the first leg of the PC Fair for 2011. Instead of having PC Fair each quarter, PIKOM decided to have it only 3 times a year now. Well, to be honest, PC Fair is no longer a place for bargains to me. However, I did catch up with someone yesterday at Foursquare Day and she mentioned most rural visitors who come to PC Fair do make purchases.

I guess a hosted event like this in KL Convention Centre is more beneficial to them than consumers like me who resides close to the city. Hence, PC Fair visits to me is more of an opportunity to brush up on my portrait photography.

I’m not proud with the outcome as I’ve seen some creative and better composed shots by others. Probably means I’ve to bring out my camera more often and understand my 24-70mm better.

Did you buy anything from the PC Fair?

You son of a bitch

Woke up this morning to find someone selling personal information of high income Malaysia people. WTF?!

OM Industrial Materials spammer
Damn you!

Seriously, I know rumors say Web 3.0 is all about data. But if the future of data is pawning it off like the black market, I might as well start training to be a ninja in hacking.

If there was a Malaysian body whom I know would take action against people like this, I would report them without hesitation. Best of all, email was signed off even with the dude’s name, company name, phone and fax.

Can we trust Pos Malaysia?

The main headline of TheStar made me sick. Credit card fraud has reached a stage even involving Pos Malaysia postman! The very people responsible to deliver simple letters to wedding gifts from relatives who may be overseas.

This has diminished all my credibility of using Pos Malaysia’s services. Especially when I, myself am applying a credit card. It’s like if my bank told me they’re going to use PosLaju, I’d either tell them I’ll collect it from their nearest branch or I’ll refuse to apply a card with them.

Not to mention, Pos Malaysia has been actively advertising their PostMe service on TV. The spillover of this credibility crisis will not be overlooked by those customers. Who’s to guarantee my Ducati item will be sent to me?

I pray this Pos Malaysia incident slaps the higher-ups in the face and they think through to come up with a good solution. Otherwise, I’ll never use Pos Malaysia – ever again.

What is money?

Money doesn’t make the world go round. The universe does. Money doesn’t always make you happy. The state of your mind does. Money doesn’t tell you what’s right from wrong. The state of your consciousness does. Money doesn’t have to be the carrot for everyone.

It’s not for me. What I do is what I love. What I love is spacing out, creating ideas, the Internet and forming new relationships to share this love.

Do you dream of bigger things?

If money is what makes your world spin, wouldn’t your world end when you die? Wouldn’t your ideal world disappear then?

We live a life of choice. The choice you make creates your world which you will live today, tomorrow and the day after.

My choice is money is what I need, not what I love.
