Can a blogger really only spend 10 minutes writing a blog post? I’m starting to not understand how some bloggers continue writing their blogs so diligently every day. I mean, I’ve stuff which I can write. However, I’d take more than 10 minutes writing it. Or, is it that I’m inefficient? 0.0
Or maybe, just maybe, my priority is too much to my work. Hence, if I really pushed myself to blog, I’d end up writing my posts after 12am every day. Hmm…
There must be a solution to this. There must. Balancing between work and blogging.
While driving back from an appointment one day, I was spacing out though my attention span was still on the road. Don’t ask me if that’s possible, it’s just something I do.
So I was thinking of how recently we’ve been talking about fairness and corruption in the country. Then, a thought came to me. What would it be like for 1 day, if all of us didn’t give the road authorities any room of opportunity to be corrupted?
*ting*
It’ll be like an awareness campaign to fight corruption. Or, the fun part about it, seeing the faces of the authorities who have no excuse to write you a ticket or stop you. Or the least, creep them out.
In other words, we’d drive them nuts. *grin*
This list is some of the common mistakes we shouldn’t let the authorities take advantage of, though I know it can be difficult for some – out of habit.
Wear your safety belt
Renew your road tax, on time
Use a hands-free bluetooth headset
Respect the traffic light – don’t beat it
Follow the speed limit – as stupid as it may be
Avoid making illegal turns
Park in allocated spaces
Pay for parking (or, at least check if you have to)
So, if we were to follow the law for 1 day or during the seasons when most drivers get caught, they’ll be driven up the wall thinking, “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG TODAY?!”
Because there would be little to no tickets to write. *evil laughter*
I know. My spaced out thoughts are living in a world too perfect at times. 😛
While I understand your frustration and anger may be towards others who may have undermined you, I hope you had the slightest thought that your remark wasn’t proof of anything. Because from where I stood, I only saw it as a paycheck. And I would think you only got it because you had the ability to command it. And that ability was thanks to your visitors.
Sorry. I had to let that out. It disturbs me to stumble on people who feel they’re all high and mighty, than looking at both sides of the coin.
Because yes, we are underestimated. However, we are in this situation not because others feel we deserve it. It’s because they don’t understand the mechanics which drives it. Therefore, they’ve more insecurity.
If you really wanted to prove your worth, then instead tell how you managed to help the ones who engaged your services. Did they make money? Did your visitors engage with you in a conversation? What were the results?
If you don’t know the answer to those questions, then you should be educating more on the why and how it equals to your worth than blowing your horn about your expected worth.
Start saving. That’s the #1 advice I have for you. Gentleman or Lady, it doesn’t matter.
What matters is the dollars and cents. Heck, even if you were to elope, you’re still going to have to end up using money to do it. So start saving.
Sad as it sounds, I’m in my late 20s and it’s now only I realize why they call it; life savings. It’s savings for everything to do with your life – health, education, pleasure, weddings, family, kids, investment and retirement. Literally, everything.
Because I didn’t stick to a plan to save, I’m actually stressed out now with a few milestones in my life. I can catch up to what I want but I won’t be able to catch up to it fast enough. Hence, I’ll always be trailing behind it now unless I’ve a windfall of a savings.
So start early. Start saving today – I’m only in my late 20s and realizing the importance. There’s no such thing as starting too early. The next step is teaching our children to understand the meaning of a life savings and why they’ve to start doing it too. Then when they’re more matured, handing over your life savings plan you had for them.
Sigh. I feel really disappointed with myself. I hope you do the right thing and don’t disappoint yourself too. And most importantly, your continuity of your generations.
Last night as I laid in bed about to fall asleep, a thought came to mind for a blogpost. I was thinking how powerful a word can be used in different ways to communicate its meaning in a sentence.
Take for example this phrase, which I use quite commonly now.
Creative spaced out Malaysian
If we broke it down into parts, I’m saying that I’m a creative (designer) Malaysian who daydreams. It would mean the same if I were to phrase it this way too.
Creatively spaced out Malaysian
Except, this phrase could also mean I’m a Malaysian who daydreams in a creative manner.
Now what about if I phrased it this way.
Spaced out creative Malaysian
This doesn’t say I’m a designer. Just a creative Malaysian who’s spaced out. In this context, I could also be using “spaced out” to represent “awesome”.
So this is just another spaced out thought I had before falling into dreamland. And my realization of how powerful a word can be depending how we choose to use it.
