That’s the definition of Muse, based on Dictionary.com. Thus, comment I will.
It wasn’t great and to tell you the truth, I’ve nothing too positive to talk about the food this time. I bought the coupon from Groupon Malaysia to try out the food being Italian and all. But I guess this is the first time it was the wrong decision.
The starters of soup which looked like tomato didn’t really taste like it. Then, came the next course which was an 8″ chicken pizza which we had to choose between that or beef. I’m not sure if this is just me but it tasted really bland, until I dabbed Tabasco to give it a kick.
Finally, we had some pasta which again we had to choose between a beef spaghetti or seafood aglio olio. At least this was alright, but in comparison to my friend’s place at Secret of Louisiana, this is nothing. Sigh.
So lesson learnt. Be mindful when purchasing any food deals from a group buying website. At least, dig up as much information on the food review.
P.S: Deal was 2 soups, 1 pizza and 1 pasta for 2 people.
Anyone can tell you it’s important to start your day positively. Easy as it sounds, it’s not easy – especially when you’ve had a rough week or because you probably woke up from the wrong side of bed. Why do they even have that phrase – wrong side of bed. Hmm…
I believe my morning awesomeness came because of the following order of events – don’t me okay! 😛
My downloader speed was consistent.
Completed my Jurian Beat Crisis albums which I’ve been looking for and finally have the chance to listen to their TWO full albums!
Have some new movies to watch.
Transferred the music into my USB.
Told my fiance to have a good day at work – replying with a smile.
Listened to Jurian Beat Crisis at a higher than normal volume in my car on my way to my first appointment.
Started patting the wheel to the rhythm of the music.
Started putting on a smile through my cruise.
And the rest they say is history. 😉 Seriously. I’m still smiling as I’m writing this and just feel an awesome energy surrounding me right now.
If you’re wondering who’s this Jurian Beat Crisis, don’t worry. Share the love!
I would’ve also shared another indie band; Couple. But can’t seem to find any music videos to share here. Oh well, look them up – I preferred their 1st album though.
To everyone reading this, have an awesome Friday! 😀
It was my very first time walking and witnessing a golf tournament as it was ongoing. And this was particularly special because it was an official PGA Tour challenge hosted in The Mines, Malaysia. Of course, this happened thanks to my friend; Philip, for the invitation and tickets.
All visitors had to go through an entrance where most sponsors are given booths to sell their products. Once you reach that exit, you’re given a free umbrella, stress ball and even a pair of disposable binoculars.
This experienced was definitely the closest I ever got to a PGA golf professional. Watching it on the television is one thing, but being able to stand only few feet away from them was just another feeling.
Practice range and Leaderboard
Patrons whipped out DSLR cameras and even video cameras to record some professionals warming up on the range. It was a beautiful morning with lots of sun as you can see.
Walk walk
Philip’s attended the event before so he had much tips to share for this event. Like instead of trailing the top players which plenty of others will trail, we opted to follow a different pair – Rory Sabbertini and Lucas Glover.
PGA professionals have it rough too
If you play golf, landing in the rough is one of the most dreadful things. In the above situation, looking for a ball approximately 1 inch big in that mess of knee deep rough would be a nightmare. Plus, Philip told me apparently you’ve only a limited amount of time to spot it, otherwise you’ll have to play on with a penalty stroke. They did find the ball in the end.
Quiet please
One of the things I wish I could’ve taken back were the volunteer’s sign. The one you see printed “Quiet”. LOL! It would’ve been a sweet souvenier. Too bad none of it were for sale – I just might make my own.
This was a collection of short videos from the event. It’s just to give a rough summary of what was experienced when you walk with the pros. But from this experience, I may not walk the event every year. The heat was really much and visitors are required to walk a longer route – sometimes making you miss tee offs.
Hence, sitting in the comforts of your home, watching the game under much shade may be a better option when the PGA is in town.
At one time in my life, I made a personal vow to myself.
Never to have to see a girl cry or let her experience sadness.
Here on, it was really about being the shoulder any girl friend needed. Being the person who’d listen and being that extra friend whom she may need.
If you’d ask why this came about? It was just a decision which came to me, which I personally felt I wanted to do. It was because of the ladies but it was more so because scenes of their sadness made me depressed.
When I watched a video shared by my friend, I couldn’t help but feel depressed, disappointed and moved by its truth and the feeling you know, you want to support this.
Though women are the ultimate sexual symbol of life, it worries me to believe how its current state would affect not only the US, but the minds of our own children to come.
Just think about it. What if you have a daughter now? What if you had a daughter today? How will they grow up in a society and environment which doesn’t acknowledge their intellectual (as the girl in the video says) or at least, acknowledge them as a potential equal if not greater to the opposite sex?
I’m a normal, sometimes spaced out guy, who believes women have the power too. And if we’re unobservant of this lifestyle, now’s the time to be aware and start thinking about it.
For the benefit of your daughters and daughters to come.
The rage somewhat have been the book sales happening and the 2 most talked about have been the MV Logos Hope book sale and the Big Bad Wolf book sale.
MV Logos Hope
I didn’t drive all the way to Klang for this. And the reason you’ll have to go the distance for it is because it’s a ship docked at the port with a book sale in it. Yes, you’ve to line up, board the ship then buy your books. It sounds like a very cool experience to be buying books in this manner but then again, I’m not going to drive to Klang for this.
Big Bad Wolf Books
Okay, so me and Ariel drove to Serdang instead to the apparently, biggest book sale in the world.
Taken near the exit
I’ve seen venues nearly as big as this. Plus, I’ve seen book fairs way bigger than this venue when my Mum used to visit them overseas. So I’m still wondering how was this coined the biggest book sale in the world. *shrug*
So anyway, shopping for your books here is your typical warehouse sale. You get towering books because not many people buy them or individual titles mixed up in a row like a deck of cards. Then before you begin your journey of exploration, you’ll need to secure yourself one of these boxes.
Maru would have a field day, said Ariel.
Besides the boxes, I noticed many visitors using grocery bags, IKEA bags and some even brought suitcases. And on my mind while carrying my box I was thinking, wouldn’t the size of the baggage make you purchase more?
Okay. So they had really lots of books from children, young adult, travel, general fiction, comics, movies and music along with biographies and memories and some more. But as usual, computer books were either very old or few. Even photography were more of coffee table books.
Based on my observation, you’ll get your visits worth if you’re looking for books for children, general fiction, romance, cookery and biographies. And if you’re heading over tomorrow, make sure to go before prayer times cause I bet it’s going to be packed – don’t have to mention weekends.
Also, you’ll find a throng of OCBC people asking if you’d like to sign up for their credit card to get a RM20 voucher as you enter or as you’re viewing some of the books.
Even a wolf needs credit.
Oh, before I forget. The best thing about this book sale was you have trams to take you from the car park to the venue! This was seriously a great idea. Plus, a good reason for MAEPS to utilize these vehicles I think. 😛
Prices of books which I saw ranged from as low as RM5 to RM20. So if you’ve been book hungry, this is your chance to replenish your library. And don’t forget your suitcase! LOL!
