Argh!!! Hate it when I procrastinate in writing a post and then it’s just been too long since the event occurred. Damn you PROCRASTINATION!
Therefore, instead of waiting for the cows to come home, here were some of the photos I would’ve uploaded if I did get around writing something about them. Enjoy the food. Oh glorious food.

If you’re not into the food, here’s a recent video of a puppy we just got. Watch as how Truffles torture the helpless and defenceless Milkman. That was the name we dub her toy.
Ginger was a labrador. A very laid back one at that.
Old gal
She joined our family, I dare say, more than 15 years ago. In dog years, that’s like an old grandmother of 73 years old. She was never demanding, only wishing to lay near us when we’re watching the tv and having meals. Her barks were kind. Only to inform us she needed to go outside and do her business. Ginger was that kind of friend. One who listened and one who accompanies you quietly.
Old age had caught up with her. Knowing her arthritis had been going from bad to worst. And knowing we couldn’t do anything more about it as the vet said. All we could do and what she (Ginger) did was live out her days. Up until today. Up until around 5.00pm.
Yesterday me and Ariel walked Pavillion to kill the time before the movie. During our stroll, I finally walked into the Muji concept store. It was awesome! Especially the stationary. 😀 Then, we noticed a crowd gathering a floor above us. So we assumed it was the Culture Japan night organized by Danny Choo. And yes it was!
That's what he looks like - on the right
Observing from the sidelines, because it was a registered event, we even saw Jimmy Choo there. Sadly, all these otaku were either shy, too busy talking to themselves or just did not know who that man was?! *facepalm*
Afro, polka dot, polka dot, circus
I got us tickets to watch Madagascar 3 and it was a blast! From the beginning to the end of the film, you’ll be entertained by the antics of the gang. And I was very surprised, because I was really worried the trailers would’ve revealed too much. But the movie had much more to reveal! *phew*
If you were never into the whole “I like to move it, move it”…what am I saying?! or, WHY am I saying it?! Let me just show you.
Now, if you hadn’t been laughing or at least, smiling, there’s something wrong with you. Maybe you should go see Kumar the comedian. 😛
Anyway, I felt this movie was really good. It captured a real magical feeling of the whole Madagascar series. It was almost…Disney-like. Without the princes and princesses.
P.S.: And yes, the penguins are it again. Except, they now have monkey powa!
I’m glad that comedy is bringing the family close again. Although I think my Dad’s going to compare all comedians now with Russell Peters. LOL! I mean I’m not saying when Russell Peters did a show in Malaysia, it set the bar too high, but y’ know, it’s Russell Peters.
Getting on with the show
TicketPro were the same event company managing the Russell Peters show. However, in Kumar’s show I noticed they were very lax. During the Russell Peters show, I wrote about how they had so many guards aiming their light strobing seizure inducing flashlights at you if you tried to take a picture. However, it was a 360 during Kumar’s show.
The other thing me and a friend whom I bumped into said was, booking for this show was not very well done. Unlike Russell Peter’s where you could see the row and if I recall, whether it’s a higher level, we couldn’t tell from the Kumar seating plan. What’s up with that?!
Stage set looks awfully familiar, no?
Thankfully, though seated on the higher level, we got seats near the balcony. Plus, sound system was well done that you could hear the jokes clearly.
Malaysia versus Singapore
Emceeing was JD from MixFM and it was very noticeable when you’re at an event and sponsors have said, “you must tell everyone who brought this event to them”. Phbt.
So anyway, we had 2 Malaysian comedians warm up the crowd. Both of which, me and Ariel had seen them in action during the Ministry of Humour – Kavin Jay and Dr.Jason Leong. This time, their acts seemed much better than when we first saw them. *shrug*
Then, when the big kahuna, of course not in size, came onto the stage, Kumar wasted no time hitting off the jokes. He banged everyone from JD, Kavin, Jason and even, the DJ. LOL!
JD, Kavin Jay, Kumar and Dr.Jason Leong
She should’ve stayed at home
In front of us, I noticed a couple. The guy seemed entertained with the jokes thrown by the comedians. However, little could be said about his girl friend. It looked like she didn’t have a sense of humour or she had too much trouble following the jokes. Simply because she kept leaning and whispering into his ear, like “dear, what does he mean ar?” “dear, bla bla bla bla…” -_-!!!
Anyway, let’s wrap this up. Kumar’s jokes to me were made from the experiences he encountered mixed with research done. Although my Dad said Russell Peters was better, I found Kumar’s jokes equally entertaining. On the other hand, when Kumar injects Tamil, I’m temporarily idle. LOL!
But like he said, if you don’t get it, just forget it. 😛
Today is June 11, 2012. It’s the 9th year of our steady relationship. The fact is not all of 3285 days has been steady in our relationship. And I would be lying if I were to say it’s been perfect. You know I say this because I’m honest to myself and to others. So just allow me to say this.
I know I have made you disappointed. I know I have made you cried. I know there have been things I did and still do which frustrate you. I know I have made you laugh. I know I have made you smile. I know there are things I can still do in my life with you.
I know you dislike surprises. More so, when I already told you. I know after we argue, you don’t like me near you. I don’t know though what happens from here. I do know though you’ll be by my side here.
