As an avid photographer, Instagram is one of the mobile apps I gotta have in my phone. Deemed an Asian thing, I take pictures of food to prevent friends from eating first and make those who aren’t present more hungry. 😛
One fine day, I accidentally turned off the Facebook sharing on my Instagram and I couldn’t get it to work again. At first, whenever I tried to click on Facebook after I took a picture, the app crashed. -_-
Then, I tried other options like resetting the privacy and network settings. I guess you could say it was closer to a solution, but now all I get was this message.
When I checked my privacy settings as the instructions hinted, there wasn’t any applications in Facebook. WTF. Even after restarting and reinstalling the Instagram app, there wasn’t any difference. -_-!
So I turned to Uncle Google for a solution. I came across what I thought would’ve been ‘the’ solution. It was to login to my Facebook on the desktop, go to the Instagram app and click on the Send to Mobile.
After I did that, I received a notification on my phone and thought “Hooray, it’s fixed”. I was wrong. -_-!!
So I continued looking to Uncle Google for answers and I found my solution from a user who posted this in the Apple forums and as a comment in another blog.
What he advised was to:
- Go into Settings.
- Go to Facebook.
- Click on your username.
- Hit Delete account – don’t worry, this does not delete your account on Facebook.
- Now, launch your Instagram and set the Facebook sharing settings.
The moment I reached step 5, I knew this was my answer because the Facebook application switched places to ask my permission to allow postings from Instagram. YES!
I hope this helped you if you accidentally disabled your Facebook sharing settings as well.
