At first I thought this was anime was only going to be ‘meh’ because it’s the first time I’ve ever heard of an anime with the storyline revolving around cycling. More so when the trend now is everyone seems to be wanting to get on the cycling scene.
However, after watching Episode 1, I’m now already onto Episode 14! Following the story of an unlikely high school boy named Onoda Sakamichi, who was more otaku slowly becoming a more competitive and driven person with a goal to achieve.
Though the characters and actions performed in the anime maybe fictional, I like how they’re using this anime as a medium to educate the audience like me on cycling.
P.S.: If cycling isn’t your sport but swimming is, there is an anime for that too. 😛
Completed watching the Second Stage and I enjoyed the last episode the fullest. Can’t help but watch the last episode over and over again. It keeps giving me motivation and lifts me when I’m down. Thank you!

However, I hope they’re coming up with a 3rd season or Final Stage because I feel there are some questions left unanswered.
Who ordered to kill Chieri’s Dad ? Who was the killer ?
What happened to the D.G.T.O ? How is the AKB0048 battling the underground gambling on their performances ?
Can Chieri manage the Center Nova ability on her own ? Will Nagisa become Center Nova as well ?
Maybe the production company did this on purpose when they choose to continue in future. But I hope they don’t take too long. T_T
It’s been awhile since I had the leisure of watching my anime series. From secondary school to college, I watched anime titles like Gatekeepers, Hunter X Hunter, Studio Ghibli films, Akira, Ghost in The Shell and other anime titles which have been burned out and stored on the shelf. Some of these anime was even before the time Animax came to Malaysia.
Let me share with you 2 of the anime titles I’ve recently completed watching.
Hidan no Aria (Aria the Scarlet Ammo)
The story revolves around a male high school student, enrolled in a school where students learn the art of becoming professional hitman – ah, how we all dream of such schools. And as usual, you’ve got to have the girl who either wants to kill him, love him or probably both – she’s Aria.

What’s anime today without some sexual angle to it. 😛 Anyway, I felt this anime end the story at a cliffhanger. From what I’ve read online, there is the possibility of a 2nd season – which I hope. Because like some others said, some of the characters didn’t have much of a story to them.
High school DxD
This anime too revolves around the guy. It’s a story told of a war between devils, angels and fallen angels. Personal caution explicitly to this title because it reveals lots of boobs – unless you watch the censored version. Oh, come on. It’s only breasts in 2D. LOL!

It’s an interesting story to follow the development of the guy because he portrays someone who was weak, but because of his will to succeed, he would do anything for the lady he cherishes.
I seriously hope they’d make a 2nd season to this anime. Because again it felt like it left with a cliffhanger. And when I think about it, they wrapped up the ending really quickly. Not sure if it’s because like some have said online, the company producing this title was not allocating enough funds.
Sigh. Though I’ve some anime titles to catch up I feel stories of anime today are pretty boring. It’s more towards drama and some other spin-off which were similar to older anime titles. I miss genres with mecha like Full Metal Panic.
And, do you remembers this anime? Holler if you do.
Oh. oh. Before I forget. You should check out the new Thundercats 2011. It’s one of the pretty good cartoon makeovers I’ve watched to date.
Wha?! Seriously, there’s been plenty of zombie movies from Dawn of The Dead to parodies. But now, an anime about zombies with a cliche title. Gosh. Even the Japanese anime market is becoming desperate.
Anyway, if you’ve not heard of it here’s the trailer on YouTube.
Story wise so far, it’s rediscovering childhood love and much fan service – under skirts. Though hoping the story would be a little more interesting as time passes. Otherwise, I’ll just thrash this anime.
High School of the Dead, what were the Japs thinking?! *slaps forehead*
Me and Ariel finally completed watching the series; Avatar: The Last Airbender. And for your information, this Avatar isn’t blue and doesn’t procreate using his pony tail. It’s about a 100+ year old boy defrosted from the ice returning to restore balance to the world. The original is an animated cartoon series with an American anime style.
Nickelodeon screened this before and is now running a cartoon marathon for it in conjunction with the upcoming movie. I’d like to place some pretty high expectations for the movie because it’s being directed by M.Night Shyamalan.
However, after having completed watching the animated series, I’m a little worried how they’re going to squeeze the story into a 120-150 minutes flick. The animated series consisted of 3 books or 3 seasons. Telling the story of how the Avatar formed his friendships and in the end, made the world peaceful once again. Not to mention, got the love of his life.
I don’t remember any continuations of M.Night Shyamalan’s work. It’s always 1 movie and that’s it. Which is why I’m very worried.
What’s going to be missing in the movie? What’s going to be deemed unimportant and not included in it? 🙁
I hope they don’t end up butchering the storyline too much. Otherwise, we’re going to end up with a Devastator and 2 banging balls again. LOL!
